About

Homecoming is about a person with an addiction problem. It revolves around collecting text messages from a perceived close friend or lover.

Level Design

Most of the level design revolved around ways to "recover" from addiction. It involves overcoming obstacles and self-made hindrances. Using real-world objects such as vehicles and warehouses in a surreal way helped depict a mental "prison" in the person's mind and collectibles in the level represent forms of outreach from peers or a loved one.

 

There is no losing condition in this game, the main objective is to press forward to the end. Objects serve as hindrances or dynamic obstacles to maneuver around such as the forklift shown on the right.
